               Dr. G.J. Chaitin of IBM  Thomas  J.  Watson  Research
               Center   will   speak   on  "Algorithmic  Information
               Theory".

               Dr. Chaitin  will  also  give  a  talk  in  the  Pure
               Mathematics  Department  on  Friday,  November 12, at
               9:30 AM in MC 5158 on "Godel's Theorem  and  Informa-
               tion"  and at 3:30 PM in MC 3007 in the Combinatorics
               and Optimization Department on  "Register  Allocation
               Via Graph Colouring".
