Dr. John C. Dill of Computer Aided Design Instruc-
tional Facility, Cornell University, will speak on
"Computer Graphics in the Engineering Curriculum at
               Cornell University".

               ABSTRACT

Computer aided design and manufacturing is widely re-
garded as an important technology because of its po-
tential to improve industrial productivity. CAD/CAM
systems are rapidly transforming many industrial
processes including design, simulation and produc-
               tion.

Instruction which makes use of this technology and of
related interactive Computer graphics methods is now
available to Engineering students at Cornell through
the computer Aided Design Instructional Facility.

This presentation will provide an overview of this
facility, its origin, goals and operation, along with
a description of specific instructional applications.
Also discussed will be potential benefits and diffi-
culties in establishing and running such a facility.
