[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] KA9Q as dialup IP Router?

ash@omega.UUCP (Andrew Hardie) (06/04/91)

I am interested in the possibility of using KA9Q to provide the
function of a dialup-IP router between distant TCP/IP networks,
using the "ppp" protocol and with the dialup connection being
automatically established and broken, as and when required.
I would prefer to take this approach than to install the "dialup-IP"
unix package at each end (mainly because one end isn't unix!).
However, I find the KA9Q documentation a bit hard to com to grips with.
I would be grateful for guidance as to whether this is possible and
some suggestions for how to go about it, please.
Thank you
Andrew Hardie
