[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] TCP/IP Software for DOS PCs

Russ_Housley.McLean_CSD@XEROX.COM (06/07/91)

I need source-level implementations of IP, ARP, and ICMP for the MS-DOS /
PC-DOS environment. I have located two vendors willing to sell me their source
code implementations of these protocols: Wollongong and FTP Software.

Wollongong supports the WD8013 ethernet board that I have in 16-bit mode, but
their ICMP implementation does not provide Source Quench.

FTP Software requires that I use a packet driver to use the WD8013 ethernet
board in 16-bit mode, but their ICMP implementation provides Source Quench.

So far, these are the only differences I have been able to determine between
the two offers. Would anyone on this mailing list care to share experience
with either of these implementations?

Thanks in advance for your assistance. And, please reply directly to me.
