[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] Extension on SIGCOMM Election

craig@SICS.SE (Craig Partridge) (06/10/91)

I called ACM last Friday to find out the status of the SIGCOMM Elections
(I'm a candidate) and learned that the deadline for returning SIGCOMM
ballots has been extended to the 30th of June because, due to a mailing
goof, international ballots were not sent out airmail and thus only recently
reached international SIGCOMM members.

Unfortunately, ACM has no mechanism for notifying SIGCOMM members of the
extension in time. Thus this note.

So, if you are a SIGCOMM member, and have not yet sent in your SIGCOMM ballot,
you still have time. If you threw out your ballot figuring that it wouldn't
get to ACM in time, contact Pat Ryan (patryan@acmvm.bitnet) to arrange to
cast your vote. Note that ACM can arrange to take your vote via FAX if
necessary. I know I speak for all the SIGCOMM candidates in encouraging
you to vote.

Please do not contact me with election issues as I am an interested party.

Thanks,

Craig Partridge
