[comp.protocols.tcp-ip] Optical Fiber 50mic vs 62.5 at 1300nm

The trend I hear is that 62.5mic is the standard emerging. I've read that
you can use LED transmitters and receivers and it can handle both data, 
video, etc..

Are there any other good things about 62.5 that I have not mentioned?
