Has anyone implemented an editable NeWS window that would resemble
SunView's text subwindow?  I guess one could do it, for example, as an
extension of ScrollingWindow.

What about the PS code for nterm?  I haven't looked too closely, but
doesn't the PS portion of nterm contain a class that will at least do
some of the things you want? [I know nterm is slow, but..]
