In response to the question regarding the availability of a TeX previewer for NeWS (rohlicek%bbn.com@bbn.com (Robin Rohlicek) ), I currently use dvitool which was written by Jeff McCarrell (jwm@renoir.berkeley.edu). I works fine but it is written for suntools (which of course means it runs on NeWS but rather presumptuously). If anyone knows of a TeX previewer written specifically for NeWS and/or is better than dvitool, I too would be interested in hearing about it. dvitool works fine except when you try to display fonts that aren't in your TeX fonts directory (i.e., there is no default font), you just get a bunch of dots on the screen in that case.
