Prof. P.G. Thomsen of this department will speak on
``Semi Implicit Runge Kutta Methods, Implementation,
Part 2.''
TIME: 3:30 PM
ROOM: MC 5097
ABSTRACT
In this second part the emphasis will be on implementa-
tion features, covering the following subjects
- solution of nonlinear systems of equations
- prediction of initial vectors for iteration
- convergence-, stepsize- and error control
- choice of starting stepsize.
The program SIMPLE is a research code that has been
develop to test our ideas. The code can be used for
any SDIRK-method and has been used to give practical
experience with our design parameters.
