Does anyone know what the cgsix segment driver kernel patches supplied with Sun X11/NeWS FCS do? I can find no reference to this in the docs, and I can see no difference in either performance or well-behaviour from my pre- and post- patch versions. (I was hoping for a 5-fold speed increase on the NeWS side, but I guess they're saving it for 2.1.) -- David ------------- David Lau-Kee Canon Research Centre Europe, 19/20 Frederick Sanger Rd, Surrey Research Park, Guildford, Surrey, GU25YD, UK. I only had one which contained information, and it says that the segment driver allows the context of the cg6 to be preserved so that multiple applications can use it, e.g. XNeWS and maybe SunCore. Opinion seems to confirm that the patches don't affect performance. -------- Canon Research Centre Europe, 17/20 Frederick Sanger Rd, Surrey Research Park, Guildford, Surrey, GU25YD, UK.
