And as government so aptly illustrates, bad ideas and dead ends dont always die the quick death they deserve. As a developer of a system that runs on multiple Unix platforms, I would love to be able to use NeWS on all of them; unfortunately, reality dictates that I use X (shudder) on most of them. And even Sun seems to be letting the excitement of the X bandwagon overcome them. And so, once again, the sublime is in danger of being overwhelmed by the vulgar.
