I am looking into using NeWS from a Lisp/Scheme environment. In this environment, each "application" would be managed by one (or more) Lisp world lightweight processes. The OpenWindows 2.0 X11/NeWS server appears to create a new lightweight NeWS process to manage each NeWS connection. I said appears, because it isn't clear to me from the documentation whether the new process is set up automatically or by an explicit action on the part of the client. In any case, am I likely to be better off creating a new server connection for each "application", or multiplexing one connection among the different servers? -- Jim Mayer Xerox Webster Research Center Phone: (716) 422-9407 FAX: x2126 800 Phillips Road, 0128-29E Internet: mayer.wbst128@xerox.com Webster, New York 14580 -- -- Jim Mayer Xerox Webster Research Center Phone: (716) 422-9407 FAX: x2126 800 Phillips Road, 0128-29E Internet: mayer.wbst128@xerox.com Webster, New York 14580
