Dr. V.S. Manoranjan, of the University of Dundee will speak on ``Bifurcation Studies in Reaction-Diffusion''. TIME: 2:30 PM ROOM: MC 6007 ABSTRACT The Reaction-Diffusion problem has attracted much attention in the recent past. In this seminar we consider the above problem, obtain estimates for the critical lengths of the domain at which bifurcation occurs in the cases $ b~=~0,~a~+~1 $ and present some numerical results based on time depen- dent numerical studies for a range of values of $ b $, giving particular attention to the solutions bifurcat- ing from the equilibrium state $ u~=~a $.
