I want to use shared memory between two processes in NeWS. One of the processes is the local client (i.e. in the same workstation where the server exists) and the other is a remote client which has made a connection by opening a socket. The remote client should be able to write into the shared memory and the local client should be able to read from it. I tried to implement it using monitors as described in the NeWS 2.0 manual but it does'nt work. I am sure that I missed some point. If you have an idea how to implement it, please let me know (if possible with a simple example). Is there any other way to write directly ( or transfer data) in another process's data space.
