Do any of you know of any published work that gives sensible guidelines as to how to figure out and eliminate shift/reduce and reduce/reduce conflicts in LR and LALR grammars? I need to give some guidance to students who'll be using YACC and will be tripping over the problems. I know a few heuristics, but was hoping to reference something rather than having to write something.
