I am interested in hearing from anyone with experience in generating symbolic information for the dbx/dbxtool debuggers. Any information which goes beyond what can found in the manuals would be highly appreciated. You might look at GCC, the GNU C Compiler. It generates .stab directives for dbx (or gdb!!), as well as outputting GNU style debug info (to be fed to the GNU as, and then gdb!!) It is all high quality and functional. -Phil Budne, Boston University [From Phil Budne <budd@bu-it.BU.EDU>] -- Send compilers articles to ima!compilers or, in a pinch, to Levine@YALE.EDU Plausible paths are { ihnp4 | decvax | cbosgd | harvard | yale | bbn}!ima Please send responses to the originator of the message -- I cannot forward mail accidentally sent back to compilers.
