[comp.compilers] smalltalk to C translation

I know I have seen somewhere, either here or in 
comp.lang.smalltalk, a discussion of working systems that
translate smalltalk to c.  I asked in c.l.smalltalk, and 
the silence was deafening, so now I'm asking here:

Can anyone give pointers towards such a system/product ?
