To all interested: We have a utility that dumps a color image on a Masscomp monitor to a file in postscript form. The file can then be brought over to a postscript device (such as the Apple Laserwriter) and executed to produce a 16 level shades of grey image of the first four bit planes of color (or 1 bit plane for black & white images). This was never intended to be used out of house and it is some of the worst code I have ever seen in my life - a real hack, but I thought it might be useful to others with a Masscomp and a Laserwriter. There is no documentation, except for the source code (which I had said was terrible :-) but should not be too difficult to understand how to compile and use. If anyone is interested leave me some e-mail and I will mail you a copy of the source. Rickers ..!drexel!rickers
