While at UniForum, I chatted with a few Masscomp folks. Here is what I learned: RTU 4.0 and NFS (as seperate products) should ship in April. It will include a new set of compilers which will hopefully fix the many problems with the current release. X has just started Beta. They were running it at UniForum. VERY IMPRESSIVE! They will be supplying it in two release phases. The first will be around May and will be for the GA1000. It will include an SP-40 compatibility library for those SP-40 things that work on the igp. igp support is also in the first release. Support for the GA800 will be in a later release expected in August. [Masscomp listened to all the irate users at the last National meeting!!!] Sendmail will be in 4.0, but will be replaced by MMDF sometime around the release of X. Sendmail in 4.0 is UNSUPPORTED, but MMDF will be a supported product. [They also intend to release xmh, the x-based version of mh, with X or MMDF, whichever comes last...] Stan Barber
