A new laboratory work bench named SoundLAB has developped by ATR
Auditory and Visual Perception Research Laboratories in Osaka.
The SoundLAB is designed as an advanced waveform analysis and
manipulation tools for researchers working on Masscomps. It has many
sophisticated yet easy-to-use modules listed as follows,
(1) A/D and D/A conversion
(2) File manipulation
(3) Waveform editing and modification
Insert, Set Silence, Remove, Substitute, Add, Subtract,
Multiply, Change Amplitude, Time Reversal etc.
(4) Spectrum analysis, display and measurement
method ( FFT, LPC, Cepstrum, BPF analysis )
display ( Spectral slice, Running Spectrum, Sonagraph )
(5) Signal Generation
(6) Interpolation of waveform
(7) Zooming
(8) Measurement of waveform data
(9) Full/ Partial Screen hardcopy to a Laser Printer
(10) Help and several desk accessaries
The SoundLAB is written in C and runs on the RTU. It runs on any MC5000/6000
with at least 4MB memory, a VA1, 12 or 16bits AD/DA and a color graphic system.
