Many Masscomp customers have recently received mail stating that the merger between Concurrnet and Masscomp is complete. As a result, I propose the change the name of the MASSCOMP USERS SOCIETY newsgroup from comp.sys.masscomp to comp.sys.concurrent and disolve its affiliation with the user organization (that is to say, the new group would not be affliated with Interchange, the Concurrent Users' Organization). This would be similiar to the relationship between the Sun Users' Group and Sun-Spots. If you have strong feelings, please send mail to masscomp@soma.bcm.tmc.edu or rutgers!bcm!soma.bcm.tmc.edu!masscomp. Discussion will close on Thanksgiving Day.
