The other day, I posted a note explaining that one needed a reasonably current GCM controller to avoid a confilct with tape controllers (when running X11.) Well, I got a new rev GCM, and the tape conflict is resolved, BUT, we now experience a very significant video noise problem when the screen updates. The problem is most noticable when large portions of the screen are updated. I've check grounds, and cables, and don't haven't found anything. I'm about to "upgrade" another of our Auroras this week so I perhaps I'll know more shortly.
