Has anyone manage to fix up the CKMAIL program (distributed by Scott Turner of UCLA) to work correctly under SR9.5/SR9.5.1? If I don't have any mail waiting for me when I run the program it bombs out with the message: Cannot status /usr/spool/mail/krowitz -- quiting rather than returning with the simple 'no mail' message. This is a problem if you want to run CKMAIL as a background process which periodically checks for the arrival of new mail, since the process dies unless you already have mail waiting for you, and will die just as soon as you've read and deleted your mail. Has anyone else encountered this problem? -- David Krowitz mit-erl!mit-kermit!krowitz@eddie.mit.edu mit-erl!mit-kermit!krowitz@mit-eddie.arpa krowitz@mit-mc.arpa (in order of decreasing preference)
