[comp.sys.apollo] UCR

sundar@case.CSNET (Sundar Iyengar) (05/23/87)

While we are talking about UCRs, is there a net connection to
Apollo to which we could file UCRs electronically. I hate to
write an address on an envelope, put a stamp on it and lick
it close (and possibly cut my tongue in the process).
I plan to file a UCR on this, but have anyone noticed
the `du' looping for ever, if there is file with just a tab
for its name in the subtree being sized? (I have not figured
out how the tab got into the file name, but it was there.
It was listed as :_:_:_ by /com/ld).

YES!! The following is extracted from /com/help crucr --

You may also send UCRs directly to Apollo Customer Sevices via the UUCP
  network.

  The network address is: ucr_admin@apollo.uucp

Recommended paths to Apollo are via uw-beaver and decvax!wanginst.

Note that the decvax!wanginst path is no longer valid, since wanginst has been
acquired (is that the correct terminology?) by Boston University and will not
be forwarding mail/news from "outside sources". (I have seen no confirmation
of this in the newsite group, but it is accepted as gospel here. :-)

Try using apollo!ucr_admin@eddie.MIT.EDU until the maps get back in synch.

You can send your ucr's to:
apollo!ucr_admin

This is the way I send all my ucr's these days.
