[comp.sys.apollo] Is Apollo a Unix box?

Well, in this mornings mail, I recieved an invitation to the local
Apollo office for a demonstration of the Network Computing System and
Public DOMAIN. I don't know what you consider vaporware, but a running
demonstration is not vaporware to me. Our local sys_admin will know
more when he goes to the demo. (I can't because I'll be on vacation.)
Maybe all they have is minimal functionality, but I kind of doubt it
if they are willing to have an Open House to show it off.

More on the Network Computing System ... I have seen the demo of the
software at Chelmsford. It *does* work, and is definitely not vaporware.
It is my understanding that the stuff is currently in beta-test.

It all depends on whether it's a hands-on demo or not!

"Any sufficently advanced technology is indistinguishable from a rigged demo."

I'll believe it when it see it.

Say, has anyone noticed that all the Aegis fans are posting from Multics
sites or admit that they're former MITers?

Let me hear it from you!
