[comp.sys.apollo] The Good Idea Department

Well things have slowed down to a crawl in this group.
I am surprised no one has mentioned the price cuts on
the DN3000 in this newsgroup. Apollo's price cuts puts
it in a fairly competitive position.

The Good News about 9.5 :
At last csh from Sys V. The Bourne shell is pretty useless
thing.

Open Dialogue was announced a Siggraph. I have heard
conflicting stories about the compatibility between Open
Dialogue and the "old" Dialogue. Any clues as to whether
the two are compatible?

And that no one mentioned the new DN4000. What is its speed improvement
over the DN3000. Does anybody have Whetstone and/or Drystone results?

On what machine does Open Dialogue run. Only under X ?
I also saw an Apollo announcement mentioning DIALOGUE Plus,
is this the same as Open DIALOGUE?

Cheers, Fons Rademakers.
