Can I use rsh or rlogin to connect to another host on the Apollo ring without using the ethernet (we don't have ethernet yet)? Are all of the Domaim/IX network services hooked to tcp/ip? It seems rather absurd that one would use TCP/IP (ethernet) instead of the Apollo ring to talk to nodes connected directly to the ring! -- Rich

Yes, you can use rsh and rlogin without using ethernet, but you have to
config the tcp/ip on the apollo ring network. Please refer to apollo
tcp/ip ref manual for the details.
