You can absolutely have more than one Domain_IX Administrative node in an internet enviornment. We have four rings all etherbridged together and each ring has its own administrative Domain_IX node (In fact, two of the rings have more than one administrative unix node for redundancy purposes). The only thing to be aware of is that you should only run crpasswd on one node and use /etc/update_slave to copy the password and group files to the backup administrative nodes and to make sure that there is only one /usr/spool/mail (/usr/spool/news, etc) per ring. if you want to be truly gonzo, and next wave, you can have more than one /usr/spool/mail, mqueues, etc. but if you haven't done that on your own anyway don't start now! --paul Postmaster da tutti postmasters Paul Killey University of Michigan Computing Center Ann Arbor, MI 48109 (313) 763-4892 paul@umix.cc.umich.edu {uunet, rutgers}!umix!paul
