Thanks to everyone for the response on tab character keydefs.

I didn't realize that key definition is in /sys/dm/bsd4.2_keys

then again, there's al lot about UNIX that I've yet to learn.
The reason I don't use those key definitions is just because I was weined
on AEGIS, and am not ready to just dump it for UNIX.
