[comp.sys.apollo] InterOps '88

ken@gemini.CS.SCAROLINA.EDU (Ken Sallenger) (10/04/88)

Three of my colleagues just returned from the InterOps conference.

The most striking bit of news (more than Mike Karels' Olympian gems :-)
was the apparent TOTAL ABSENCE of Apollo representation....

Can anyone tell me where Apollo was? I'd really like to know, since my
group is specifying workstations for a heterogeneous environment.

asks in Message-Id: <123@gemini.CS.SCAROLINA.EDU> why Apollo wasn't at
InterOps '88. I can't speak for the company, but I suspect the the 7th
Annual Apollo DOMAIN User's Society Conference in Washington, D.C. the
2nd-5th of October may have drained their available resources. Although
there were no sales people at ADUS, there were approximately 50 Marketeers
and 90 Research & Development folks in attendance.
