[comp.sys.apollo] wbak/rbak/sr10

eln191v@monu1.cc.monash.oz (mr dj grimm) (11/30/88)

A simple question that I think I already know the answer to:
I have been given some disks that have the instructions
	  $wd //node_name
	  $rbak -dev F -F1 -all -L -ms
I presume that these are all AEGIS commands that are liable to disappear
with the upgrade to sr10.
If this is not the case can some one please inform me how to get the info
off the disk once we have upgraded to sr10.
If I get no reply I will have to see about putting them on the system
before we upgrade and recover them from the back up tape.
Also does anyone know anything about MAC APOLLO?
( the disks that i am referring to above are for it but I have been given no
 documentation ).
			Thanks ,

WBAK/RBAK are still available at SR10 as is the AEGIS shell (/com/sh). You
should have no problem reading the floppies under SR10.

MAC APOLLO was a project at the University of Michigan (I think) which
attempted to write a terminal emulator for the Macintosh and an SIO login
handler for the Apollo which would allow a person on a Mac to log into an
Apollo, run graphics programs on the Apollo, and see the output on their
Mac. The version of the program I got (some time ago) didn't work very well.
It's my understanding that the project was cancelled.
