[comp.sys.apollo] GNU Emacs 18.52 on Apollo under SR9.7

I compiled GNU Emacs on an Apollo under SR9.7 with m-apollo.h and
s-bsd4-2.h. That is  the version without  dumping and  undumping.
After loading the libraries Emacs hangs in a "select" and doesn't
take any character from the keyboard.  This all happened rlogin'd
from another machine to the apollo.

Does anybody know, what happened?
