I know we should join the ADUS, but things just don't move too quickly around here. They only decided to get a power conditioner two days *after* our 4000 got fried. :-) While I'm on the soapbox, I'd like to put in a good word for Apollo. About a month ago our 4000 got toasted by the wonderful power system here. The general net consensus was a burnt out power supply. We did not have any sort of service contract ("computers don't break" :-), and the prospects of finding enough money to fix the computer on a tight research budget were slim. A few calls to Apollo, and they agreed to give us a maintainence contract, the beginning of which was back-dated to cover our dead 4000. Thanks Apollo! -- Jim Wright jwright@atanasoff.cs.iastate.edu
