Apollo must realize that many people, including those who might become customers in the next year, will not be able to make it to this meeting. They should therefore videotape the key sessions and then send copies out to all of their field sales offices. The offices could then lend the tapes to customers. This would help educate customers to Apollo's directions and also serve as a marketing tool by wowing people with all of the great technology plans. The tapes could replace one week of the typical 'why Apollo is so great' tapes that they continually send to their sales offices. When I was at Interop 88, they had a sheet you could signup and buy cassettes (voice transcripts) of the sessions for a nominal fee of $10. After the conference they recorded the number of cassettes that were ordered and mailed them out. Even though it took them 2 months to get the tapes out, it was an excellent service. Perhaps Apollo might look into providing a similar sort of service. Mark Giuffrida University of Michigan markg@caen.engin.umich.ed
