Looking for feedback from anybody who may have pioneered what I am about to do. I am considering combining the /etc directories of both Sys5 and BSD4.x. /etc. The proposed layout looks as follows: # ls -dlS /sys5/etc /bsd4.2/etc /etc lrwxrwxrwx 1 <none> <none> 5 Feb 2 10:17 /bsd4.2/etc -> /,etc lrwxrwxrwx 1 root bin_sr9 14 Apr 24 13:12 /etc -> $(SYSTYPE)/etc lrwxrwxrwx 1 <none> <none> 5 Feb 2 10:16 /sys5/etc -> /,etc These seems to satisfy the expectations of the installation procedures.
