[comp.sys.apollo] NFS and cc

Hello,

For the time being we are doing a larger software project distributed
on a number of people each having a workstation. The source-code
is managed by sccs. And all the workstations are running NFS.

But trying to make an Apollo 3500/SR10.1 (BSD4.3)/NFS 2.0 (both patched
from the patch tape) fit in this environment
appears to be difficult. Problems are both cc and sccs, but for now
only the cc is considered

"cc -c main.c" gives the error:
?(cc) "main.o" - branch is not a directory (OS/naming server)
which does not give me any clues to what is wrong.

Any one else with the same problem ? Any hints ?

Any ideas will be appreciated.
