--- Not sure which is the most appropriate group... The Wall Street Journal the other day had an article about a new workstation from the Apollo subsidiary of HP (or some such terminology) to be announced this week. Not that big a deal these days, save the fact that the slated price is under $4,000 list. The article went on to talk about how this box was going to shake up the price structure of the industry, with other hardware houses slashing prices to compete. The article specificly mentioned the Sun 3/80, as I remember. Sooooo...the inevitable question is: what does my $4,000 get me? Equally important: How much more than $4K does it take to make a useable system? Other nice things to know are academic discounts and such, but first things first. ...ken seefried iii ...!<anywhere>!gatech!ken ken@gatech.edu Programmes are the magic spells cast over computers that allow them to turn ones input into error messages...
