Some of the talk about Apollo/Sun Wbak/Tar with Exabyte drives leads me to ask a question. This discussion concerned an Exabyte drive attached to a Sun Workstation, not an Apollo. I thought Apollo was one of the first workstation vendors to announce the Exabyte drives, but now it seems like they are very tardy in delivery. We now have Exabyte drives attached to everything from Mac IIs to VAX 8650s EXCEPT Apollos. I've had one on order for over 2 months, and they're telling me its on Engineering Hold and won't ship until November. What is the holdup ? I should have bought one from Workstation Solutions !
