I'm trying to build Leonard Zubkoff's port of 18.51 on SR10.1. The first attempt failed in the 'clnz' directory. Since that stuff relates to the Concept LNZ terminal which I don't need, I tried again after removing the references to CLNZ, clnz.o, and txtcmp.o in src/config.h. This time the build succeeded, the executable seems to run perfectly but when I exit emacs, the window input pad is no longer there and so the window is completely dysfunctional. Any help is much appreciated. Ram (imagen!ram@sun.com)

I recently compiled GNU emacs 18.55 on SR10.1 and ran into the same problem described by M.V.S. Ramanath, namely that upon exiting emacs the window it was in became unusable. I have found that by using the vt100 terminal emulator, I can get around this problem. Before calling up emacs, typing 'vt100' invokes the emulator-- emacs can then be run and exited normally. Ctrl-D exits from the emulator. --Van (van@psych.stanford.edu)
