[comp.sys.apollo] ms_$mapl and stream I/O

Thanks for the numerous replies about my ms_$mapl question. Here's a quick
summary:

1) ms_$mapl creates 'nil' type files at 9.7, therefore I always create the
   file first with stdio calls. Therefore it's a 'uasc' file.

2) If I would just go to sr10, this would all get better. I've got one node
   at 10.1, and it's only a matter of time.

3) ms_$mapl gives me the single-level-store functionality, but it's just not
   compatible with anything else, so I'm just going to bag it and go back to
   what I was doing before my branch-office SSE pointed it out to me.


Anyway, thanks for the replies, and I'll just drop the whole issue.
