Some canned rgy entries as distributed cannot be manipulated, e.g. one cannot change the "owner" of 'sys_person' to someone more trustworthy than "%.%.%". edrgy complains with 'name is too long'. However, this can be overcome if one changes the rgy property that unix conventions must NOT be met. Be aware that you should change the ownership of every individual entry in the rgy database, or everyone can gain total control.
