[comp.sys.apollo] SR10.1.p utilities dealing with utmp have chaotic display

e07@nikhefh.nikhef.nl (Eric Wassenaar) (12/18/89)

Since the width of the username and hostname fields in /etc/utmp
or /usr/adm/wtmp in the Apollo implementation is 32 (instead of the
usual 8 and 16), the output of some utilities displaying user info
is totally misaligned and difficult to read on a 80 column terminal.
This applies to finger, who, last, and the like.
I think one should adhere to the unix convention, especially if I
have requested so in the rgy properties.
