It is impossible to read on a remote (non-apollo) host via nfs a big apollo file for which 'ls -l' gives problems. I have reported in previous postings that this may be the case for some very big files in an apollo directory. Both local 'ls -l' and a remote 'ls -l' via nfs cannot list such big files, and crash the rgy daemon and/or nfs. Since such big files are generated on our DSP10020, and have to be processed further on remote (non-apollo) machines via nfs without duplication on remote disks, this situation is totally unacceptable.
