[comp.sys.apollo] DN10000 NFS problem

majka@cs.ubc.ca (Marc Majka) (12/23/89)

I've just installed NFS 2.1.p (beta) on a DN10000. When I try to mount
anything, I get the message:
WARNING: MOUNT TABLE CONTAINS NULLS AFTER MODIFICATION
I've tried rebooting, and have fiddled with /etc/mtab, but to no avail.

Also, I can't mount anything from the DN10000. I get the message:
server not responding: RPC: Remote system error
portmap, nfsd, and mountd are all running.

Any ideas would be very much appreciated! Apollo is not supporting
my beta installation, but without NFS, my DN10000 remains pretty
useless to most of my users. If anyone out there has installed
NFS 2.1.p beta and got it working, I'd like to hear from you!
