We use NFS between Apollo,Sun and Convex. One interesting thing that happens to us is ...... We have no problems both ways from Apollo and Suns and have no problems mounting the Convex disks on the Apollo's , HOWEVER, when the Convex mounts the Apollo disks, everything comes up and works for awhile but then after x amount of time, if you try to ls or cd the mounted dir we get the following error. NFS gettr failed for server_e80b. RPC: unable to receive /tmp/apollo I/O error. I first suspected our Apollo server (node_e80b) as having something wrong , even though the Convex disks mounted on node_e80b were stable. I then picked another node and did the same test with the exact same error messages indicated above.
