Well it looks like Apollo has fixed DNS under SR10.2. We have been able to get our Apollos to connect to our Primary DNS server and in the words of NASA "... we have resolution...". Apollo has republished it's "Configuring and Managing a TCP/IP Network" (part 008543-A02) and it is more usable than before BUT it is still quite confusing and there is a lot of contradicting information in it, so be warned. Is there interest in how this is done, if so I will post a "how to" article. For some reason Apollo shipped named v4.4 with sr10.1 which is an obsolete version. At sr10.2 they've shipped named v4.8 which is a more current version. I ported named v4.8 to sr9.7 2 years ago, and I'm glad to see Apollo now supporting it. You need sendmail v5.59 or newer for that functionality. I tried to port v5.59 under sr9.7 but found it too hard. I didn't try under sr10.1 but it should be do-able under sr10.2. Note that the Apollo supplied sendmail includes some added functionality, including support for the rgyd "subscriber directory" mailer, and a patch to fix the "debug loop-hole" that was one of the "internet worm" attack points. Hopefully Apollo will soon provide a current version of sendmail (v5.59 or newer). Dave Funk
