ABSTRACT
ARCCA Animation, Inc. is a company formed in February
1987 specializing in the production of computer charac-
ter animation that is composited with live-action and
miniature/model photography. The state-of-the-art pro-
duction facilities based in Toronto will provide
approximately three minutes of high resolution computer
character animation each week to the Captain Power
------- -----
television series. Captain Power is live action sci-fi
------- -----
adventure that will air on a weekly basis beginning
September 1987. The merchandising handled by Mattel
Inc. includes an interactive toyline that allows
viewers to participate in the adventures of Captain
-------
Power.
-----
ARRCA Animation has a staff of twenty full-time employ-
ees. The Toronto computing resource is a network of 14
Series 200 and Series 100 Sun Microsystems worksta-
tions, and 2 Silicon Graphics Iris 3130 workstations.
The network runs Network File System. Computer anima-
tion output is to 1" videotape and compositing is done
through an Abekas A-62, 100 second dual digital disk
recorder.
ARCCA is interested in recruiting enthusiastic and
talented graphics programmers and systems programmers
who are interested in a career opportunity that will
focus on developing tools and systems to support the
production of computer character animation for televi-
sion and feature films.
