We have a new SR10.1 installation on a DSP4500 which is responding very slowly to Shell level commands. After entering any command at the shell prompt, the system will perform the command but then hang for a minute or two before giving back a prompt. If we then execute the same command over again, the system will respond immediately with the command output and a shell prompt. But if we perform some other command other than the one just done, the system will perform the command and hang again for an unacceptable amount of time before producing the shell prompt. Has anyone seen this before? Any ideas on what could be wrong or missing? This system is unusable as a compute node with this type of response time.
