[comp.sys.apollo] C++ and NCS and Source Code Control

nazgul@alphalpha.COM (Alphalpha Software) (01/17/90)

Three sets of questions:

Does anyone have g++ and the GNU debugger running on the Apollo? Are
they a reasonable alternative to c++/dde? Does g++ provide full 2.0
support? Any news on when dde will run under X?

When licensing NCS for use on machines where NCS is not (yet) standard,
is there a per-binary fee? In other words, do I have to pay Apollo
some money everytime I sell a copy of my software? For both clients
and servers? How much?

Finally. Our development environment is distributed, with the closest
thing to a network being UUCP. Does anyone have a layer that can sit on
top of RCS/SCCS/DSEE (or anything else) and keep different source areas
in sync?
