I have two questions, both maybe stupid and trivial to some apollo experts,
but they are driving me nuts.
(1) We have an DN3500 running SR10.1 BSD4.3 and is tapped onto the Ethernet.
Every once a while (a week), I cannot use edrgy (it said registry not
available). I cannot remote login either because of this (it doesn't
recognise my password). However, if I deleted the file
/sys/node_data/hint_file and reboot the machine, everything is back to
order. Would any apollo wizards/witches out there tell me or point me
to some reference just what does that hint_file do and why the above
weird thing is happening?
(2) After I created new accounts and opened directories for them, I found that
whatever files the account owner opens, they are under the owner 'none',
not the user's login. They cannot chown it since they are not root. Did I
miss anything while creating a new account using edrgy?
Any help and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Andy
